We consider each and every person that walks through our doors family: consistent with old-fashioned Texas hospitality, we want everyone to feel like they've walked into the familiar and cozy kitchen in a close friend's home. Our other core value is to embrace, support, and promote local vendors and their products: the items we sell are made with care and love, so we aim to perpetuate that personal touch that goes into each bottle of Texas wine or olive oil, into each slice of artisan meat or cheese, and into each loaf of bread in our daily operations. When you come to The Vintage Cellar, you've come home.
We've carefully selected the Texas Wineries and Olive Orchards we feature because they are based in and around the Texas Hill Country and because they honor the same basic business principles and personal ethics as we do. We've grown to know and respect these local business owners and their work, so we've combined forces to increase their exposure not only in the Fredericksburg/ Highway 290 area, but also on a statewide and nationwide basis. We want the world to know just how special Texas Wine, the Hill Country, and all the gorgeous products that come out of it really are!
Our quaint location, built in 1902, was the original Rocky Hill School and was operational until the year 1977. We love preserving our original heritage and welcome any and all stories about our building. We've updated and decorated the interior to create a warm and welcoming environment that embodies the same authentic, diligent, and wholesome values found at the Texas Wineries, Olive Orchards, and small businesses that we feature and support. We've made the foundation of principles and wisdom that generations before us acquired our own and are proud to carry on these Texas traditions.
We Love Texas Wineries
But That's Not All...
We utilize the wall space in our beautiful venue to showcase the work of local artists, photographers, and painters.
We also wanted to create a warm, inviting environment that embodies the word (and our namesake) "vintage" in an authentic way: while we honor and preserve the history of our town, building, and people, we also strive to constantly better ourselves and support each other in business, hence our love for local art, products, and people. Our charming location, built in 1902, was the original Rocky Hill School. If these walls could speak, they'd undoubtedly have fascinating stories to tell. We love preserving the original heritage and would love to hear any and all stories about our building and its heritage!
